PRODUCT INFORMATION:

S.B.-90 is a high asphalt, non-emulsified, cold mix, maintainable road oil. Properly applied, S.B.-90 cures to a smooth and stabilized driving surface that repels water and retains surface aggregate. The high density of the product requires that it be contained in heated storage to maintain workable viscosity.

APPLICATION RATE:

Approximately 5 liters per square meter based on a loose 2 1/2” (64mm) lift of 3/4” road gravel. The application rate may vary up or down with the characteristics of the aggregate. At this rate, a 42,000 liter load will treat approximately 1,050 linear meters x 8 meter top.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

The oil is applied by a distributor truck and mixed in place with motor graders. Stockpiling can also be done with a pugmill and the mixed product later placed and spread at the job site. Packing is optional but rubber wheeled packers are recommended. These may be followed with drum rollers.
